I was fortunate to have found Collin while on Next Door. I have a few projects that I have wanted to get done and limited time to do so. I had spent over 6 weekends working on removing a large clump of bamboo that was next to my neighbor’s property line (which had started to pop up into his carport). The amount of dirt and bamboo roots was too much to fathom to move on my own. I had old railroad ties that I wanted removed from my front beds and 5 arborvitae near the house that I wanted removed too.

Collin’s note in Next Door had mentioned having an excavator, so I called him up to ask about estimates. He came over and we had a great conversation about prices and projects that I wanted to work on around the property. He was very knowledgeable and had great solutions and ideas for me to think on further. I hired him to work on the removal of the bamboo roots, ties, trees and dirt. He was prompt, fast and thorough. He stayed much longer than I had anticipated and stayed to sweep up after removing over 5 loads of dirt and debris.

My next door neighbor (that I mentioned above) and I have wanted to put in a retaining wall along our property line for a while once I had removed the bamboo. The wall that was holding up his parking area was old and about to fail. He had received a few quotes and I had mentioned to him that Collin does retaining walls as well and after my initial interaction and first job with Collin, I felt comfortable to recommend him based on his strong work ethic, integrity and thoughtfulness. Collin was able to come by and work with both my neighbor and me to outline the work we wanted done and the division of costs between both of us.

He showed up on time, was clean in his work, fast and did an amazing job! Collin and my neighbor are both aware of my feeling towards bamboo. There were some shoots and roots that remained behind the old retaining wall and Collin worked to make sure to get the last few pieces that were only accessible after taking out the old retaining wall.

My neighbor and I were super thrilled with the results. Collin is someone that takes a lot of pride in the work he does and is very knowledgably about retaining walls, fences, and hardscaping. He is great with providing solutions and is very motivated and does his best for each job and client.
